Point of sale · built for coffee

The only POS that knows what a cortado is.

ThatPOS is the all-in-one coffee shop point of sale — orders, payments, recipe costing, inventory, scheduling and analytics on one platform built for cafés, trailers and roasters. Not retail software wearing a coffee apron.

Run every day at The Roaring Bean, our first shop.

Why ThatPOS

Most POS systems treat coffee like an afterthought.

Square came from retail. Toast came from full-service restaurants. You end up bending a generic system around how a café actually runs — then bolting on three more tools to cover what it can't do. ThatPOS starts from the coffee shop and works outward.

01

Built for coffee

Modifiers like oat milk, extra shot and half-caff are first-class, and every drink carries its recipe and true ingredient cost. The menu speaks espresso, and the line keeps moving through the morning rush.

02

One platform, one login

Orders, payments, recipes, inventory, scheduling, analytics and accounting live in one place. Stop paying five vendors and reconciling five dashboards every month.

03

Runs anywhere you do

Storefront, trailer or festival pop-up — set each location's type and the same system follows you from the counter to the curb.

The whole shop

Everything behind the counter, in one system.

From the first pour of the day to closing the till, ThatPOS handles the front of house and the back office without a pile of separate apps.

Orders & tickets

Fast order entry built for a real bar — menu tiles, modifiers, an order queue and status workflow, with tips and discounts handled at checkout.

Recipes & ingredient cost

A two-tier recipe system for batches and drinks traces cost of goods to raw ingredients, so you see the real margin on every cup.

Inventory & purchasing

Stock deducts automatically with every order, items disable at zero, and reorder alerts plus supplier management keep the bar stocked.

Team & scheduling

Employee profiles, a weekly calendar, PIN time clock and overtime tracking — with role-based logins for owners, managers and baristas.

Reporting & analytics

Revenue, COGS and profit at a glance, plus menu margins, waste, reorder forecasts and trend charts you can export to CSV or PDF.

Loyalty & online orders

Customer profiles, points and configurable rewards, online ordering and order-ahead with pickup times — redeemed right at the register.

Kitchen display

KDS stations with real-time tickets, category-based routing to the right station, and ticket-age color-coding with audio alerts.

Accounting & integrations

Cash reconciliation, expenses, P&L and tax summaries, plus a self-service kiosk and connections to QuickBooks, delivery apps and more.

Built for coffee

It knows the difference between a cap and a flat white.

The small things are what make a POS feel like it was made for you — or like you're fighting it every morning.

Drinks, not SKUs

Size, milk, shots, syrups and temperature as real modifiers with their own pricing — and a recipe behind every drink.

Shop, trailer or event

Set each location's type and the register adapts — so a festival pop-up doesn't behave like your flagship counter.

Margins down to the gram

Recipes trace cost to raw ingredients and inventory deducts per order, so your profit dashboard reflects what you actually spent.

Tipping that works

Quick-tap tip amounts at checkout, so your baristas get what they earned without anyone doing the math.

Pricing

Pricing that scales with you, not against you.

Pay based on what you process. Start free, and as your volume grows your platform rate drops — so you're always on the most cost-effective plan for your numbers.

Lock these rates in for life. The first 45 shops to join keep their founding pricing for as long as they stay active — even after standard rates go up. Be one of them. Founding pricing holds while your account stays active and connected. It ends if you cancel or disconnect, and may adjust if Stripe changes its own processing rates.

Talk to sales

How ThatPOS pricing works

You pay your plan's monthly fee plus a small platform fee on the card volume you process — that's all ThatPOS takes on top. Card processing itself runs on Stripe's standard rates (2.9% + 30¢, with lower rates available for in-person card payments), billed straight to your own account. No setup fees, no contracts, cancel anytime.

Questions

The things coffee owners ask first.

What is ThatPOS?

ThatPOS is a point-of-sale and shop-management platform built specifically for coffee shops. It runs your orders and payments and bundles in recipes and inventory, staff scheduling, reporting and accounting — so one login replaces the stack of separate tools most cafés cobble together.

How is ThatPOS different from Square, Toast, or Clover?

Those platforms were built for general retail or restaurants and adapted to coffee. ThatPOS is built for coffee from the ground up — drink modifiers like oat milk, extra shot and half-caff are first-class, and back-of-house tools like recipe costing, inventory, scheduling and reporting come built in rather than as paid add-ons from other vendors.

Does ThatPOS work for coffee trailers and pop-ups?

Yes. Locations can be set up as a shop, a trailer or an event, and the register adapts to each — so a festival pop-up doesn't behave like your flagship counter.

Does ThatPOS track recipes and ingredient costs?

Yes. ThatPOS uses a two-tier recipe system for batches and drinks, traces cost of goods down to raw ingredients, deducts inventory automatically with every order, and disables items when they hit zero stock — so you always know your real margins.

Can customers order ahead or through delivery apps?

Yes. Order-ahead with pickup times is included on The Rush, and The Roast adds direct order intake from DoorDash and Uber Eats, so delivery tickets land in the same queue as the counter.

How much does ThatPOS cost?

Pricing is based on how much you process each month. Starter is free — $0 a month plus a 0.50% platform fee — for shops under about $19,600 in monthly card volume. Growth is $49 a month plus 0.25%, Pro is $99 a month plus 0.15%, and operators over $150,000 a month move to custom Enterprise pricing with no platform fee. You're always on the most cost-effective plan for your volume, and platform fees are separate from standard card-processing rates.
